We were living in London, Ontario but wanted to retire to the Bonavista area of Newfoundland. We saw a house we liked on the internet. Having no idea how to buy a house long distance, we decided to e-mail the listing agent ( Morley ) to see what would happen. He responded immediately and took us through the whole process step by step. Morley made countless trips between St. John's and Bonavista. When we had questions, he got us answers. He kept in constant contact. We knew we weren't his only clients, but that was how Morley made us feel.We made a quick trip to Newfoundland to sign the final papers and get the keys. On our closing date, even though his job was finished, Morley called us to make sure everything was in order. When told of a last minute problem that would delay the close, and knowing our time here was limited, Morley made a few calls and had everything straightened out in five minutes. The house was ours! But Morley didn't just forget about us! When we returned to Ontario, there was an e-mail from him. A lovely note congratulating us on our new home, welcoming us to Newfoundland, and offering to refer us to an agent in London to sell our house. Since we couldn't convince him to come to Ontario and sell it for us, we agreed to the referral, on condition. The agent had to be " HALF " as honest, reliable, conscientious, hard working and friendly as Morley. We have talked to family and friends in Alberta, Ontario, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland about our long distance purchase. The first thing we tell them about is Morley. They are amazed by some of the details we've told them. They've never heard of a real estate agent that goes above and beyond the way Morley does.
